Delightful Community Spirit at the Duncanville Lions Pancake Breakfast
On November 22, 2025, the Duncanville Lions Club hosted its annual Pancake Breakfast, a beloved community event that continues to draw larger crowds each year. Attendees flocked to savor an all-you-can-eat breakfast comprised of pancakes, sausage, and bacon, generously sponsored by local businesses such as D-Squared Catering and Redbird Lanes. The friendly atmosphere was enhanced by gourmet coffee from Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters, ensuring that guests were fueled for a morning filled with fun and camaraderie.
Festivities and Special Features That Excited All Ages
Guests were entertained by Lion Emcee Don McBurnett and his enthusiastic partner “Beatlejuice,” who kept spirits high by giving out tickets for chances to win soda packs. Adding to the festive atmosphere, three energetic elves led a heartwarming rendition of "Jingle Bells," encouraging participants to join in a spirited game of the Hokey Pokey. Additionally, an auction featuring homemade Chocolate Pies donated by Gale Sliger raised $250 to support the various charitable initiatives of the Lions Club.
Making a Difference Locally and Beyond
The Duncanville Lions Club dedicates itself to community service year-round, engaging in projects such as low vision clinics, scholarships for Duncanville ISD seniors, and organizing the city’s Fourth of July parade. Through various charitable partnerships, the club supports both local and statewide charities like the Texas Lions Camp and international efforts including Habitat for Humanity.
