National Life Group Champions Food Relief in North Texas
In a commendable initiative during Hunger Action Month, National Life Group has named the Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB) as the exclusive beneficiary of its upcoming 2025 Do Good Fest®. This event will take place on October 18, 2025, at the Levitt Pavilion in Arlington, Texas, from 4 PM to 10 PM. The festival not only aims to raise awareness around childhood hunger in the region but also features live performances from the beloved ‘90s band Collective Soul, alongside Tonic and Fastball.
Impacting Local Communities with Innovative Solutions
TAFB’s mission extends beyond immediate food relief; its Ready to Learn® initiative actively combats childhood hunger through various programs. This includes:
- Expanding In-School Markets that provide healthy food options directly to students.
- Implementing Snack Programs that ensure children have access to nutritious snacks throughout the school day.
- Creating a Community Resource Center connecting families with essential services, where they can access not only food but also nutrition education.
This is a crucial intervention considering that around 187,000 children in the service area face food insecurity. The event organizers aim for 100% of the ticket proceeds, with a minimum donation of $10 for general admission and $200 for VIP access, to support these initiatives.
Empowering Change Through Community Commitment
National Life Group is no stranger to supporting food relief. Earlier this year, the organization raised over $214,000 for the Vermont Foodbank and distributed thousands of meals to at-risk families. Their consistent efforts highlight a focus on both childhood hunger and youth mental health.
Mehran Assadi, the company’s Chairman and CEO, remarked, "At National Life, we believe in being part of the solution. We are deeply committed to ending childhood hunger and supporting youth mental health." This ethos resonates not only with attendees at the Do Good Fest but also with anyone committed to making a positive impact in their community.
