With over 21 years of service in the Duncanville Fire Department, Captain Leary has shown a steadfast commitment to public safety and community wellbeing. His journey began over two decades ago, and he has steadily climbed the ranks, becoming Captain in 2018. An alumnus of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, he is not only a Nationally Registered Licensed Paramedic but also holds numerous certifications in fire safety and leadership.

Captain Leary's exemplary service has been acknowledged with numerous accolades, including Duncanville Fire Officer of the Year in 2019 and 2022, as well as a Life Saving Award in 2022.
