After years of hard work and collaboration, I’m thrilled to showcase my brother’s family room, a beautifully inviting space that beautifully balances functionality and aesthetics. The decision to incorporate a TV above the tiled fireplace wasn't just a stylistic choice; it was a necessity for family bonding, ensuring that TV time becomes a shared experience rather than a solitary activity.

The architectural brilliance of the living room, designed by Anne Usher, features a large central fireplace, flanked by expansive windows and a cozy bench seat that creates symmetry. This design choice not only pleases the eye but also makes furnishing the room much simpler. Eye-catching elements like the beautiful white oak windows by Marvin, which were chosen for their elegance and practical functionality, bring in ample natural light, enhancing the welcoming atmosphere.

Lighting is vital in any space, especially with high ceilings. Our choice of ceiling lights complements the room's scale while creating an inviting ambiance. With four adjustable hanging fixtures that feature warm fabric shades, lighting takes on an atmosphere that is both intimate and bright, perfect for family gatherings. Finding the Perfect Fireplace Tile
Collaborating with Ken and Katie to select the fireplace tile at Ann Sacks was an exciting part of the process. We opted for a striking black tile that, while high-impact, is understated enough for the preferences of my brother’s family.
